    Summer is in full swing and it is that time of year again to celebrate our nation’s birthday! Cape Cod has parades throughout the area going on to celebrate, so don’t miss out on the fun! Gather the family, dress in your best red white and blue and don’t forget the sunblock. Here is our list of Cape Cod 4th of July parades.

    Barnstable / West Barnstable

    Parade Start Time: 9:00 am

    Parade Website

    Parade Details: This 4th of July parade starts at the County Complex on Railroad, down to Route 6A / Main Street, to Mill Way where it ends at Village Hollow. There are a number of activities and events at the end of this parade to participate in for all ages to enjoy!

    Bourne

    Parade Start Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am

    Parade Details: The Bourne 4th of July parade will go on, rain or shine so make sure you secure your spot! The parade takes place along Main Street in Buzzards Bay. There will be clowns, floats, music to name just a few of the reasons that this Cape Cod 4th of July parades has a little something for everyone to enjoy!

    Chatham

    Parade Start Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am

    Parade Details: Chatham’s 4th of July theme this year is “Chatham Honors You! Service Members Past, Present, Future” which is fitting because this year marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Join the over 20,000 spectators that come every year to watch one of the oldest parades in the United States, you will not be disappointed!

    Centerville

    Parade Start Time: 10:00 am

    Parade Website

    Parade Details: The parade comes together at the Centerville Elementary School, and travels up Bay Lane to Bumps River Road to Park Avenue on to Main Street ending at the Centerville Recreation Building. Behind the Centerville Recreation Building following the parade you will find food, fun and entertainment for the whole family so you can keep the party going!

    Cotuit

    Parade Start Time: 11:00 am

    Parade Details: The Cotuit 4th of July Parade begins at the town Post Office, then moves on to School Street, where it continues on to Main Street. The parade ends at the back side of the Cotuit Elementary School.

    Falmouth

    Parade Start Time: 10:00 am

    Parade Details: The Falmouth 4th of July carriage and bike parade starts up at 10:00 am at the Village Green and runs along Main Street where it ends at Peg Noonan Park. Prizes are awarded for most creative costumes so children and families are encouraged to be creative and compete for the best outfits and decor!

    Hyannis

    Parade Start Time: 4:00 pm

    Parade Details: The 19th Annual Hyannis 4th of July Main Street Parade starts on Main Street at the corner of Ocean Street. The parade ends a half of a mile later on the corner of Main Street and Sea Street. The theme of this year’s Main Street Hyannis parade is “Independence Day the Barnstable Way!”

    Hyannis Inner Harbor Boat Parade

    Parade Start Time: 2:00 pm

    Parade Details: For this one of a kind boat parade, boats showing off for our nation’s birthday begin at the Hyannis Yacht Club and line up for viewing all along the Hyannis Harbor. If you are looking for the best viewing of this water parade, it is recommended to line up at Ocean Street along the Harbor where you will get the best view of the patriotic vessels showing off their best red white and blue.

    Orleans

    Parade Start Time: 10:00 am

    Parade Details: The Orleans 4th of July Parade begins at the Orleans Elementary School, to Route 6A, to Main Street, on to Route 28 and back to Eldredge Park Way. This lively Cape Cod 4th of July Parades always draws a large crowd, so plan your parking and viewing spot in advance before all the good places are taken!

    Provincetown

    Parade Start Time: 11:00 am

    Parade Details: The Provincetown 4th of July parade starts at 11:00 am at the East End, the Harbor Hotel and travels down Commercial Street to Franklin Street where it ends. There will be awards for parade participants for the best in parade, most patriotic, children’s floats and more!

    Wellfleet

    Parade Start Time: 9:30 am

    Parade Website

    Parade Details: The Wellfleet 4th of July parade starts on Holbrook Avenue, down Main Street to East Commercial Street, finishing up at the Wellfleet Town Pier. While the traditional parade starts at 9:30 am, the floating parade starts at 10:00 am. All judging for the parade will be done at the Wellfleet Town Pier.

    Woods Hole

    Parade Start Time: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

    Parade Details: This Cape Cod 4th of July Parades for Woods Hole will be held at noon time, down Water Street. This science themed parade is organized by the Marine Biology Laboratory. The parade ends with free water and watermelon at Waterfront Park.
