Cape Cod is the place to be when celebrating the 4th of July 2017! There are 4th of July parades around Cape Cod, fireworks and plenty of activities for families and singles looking to celebrate our nation’s independence. Grab a comfortable chair, some sunblock and snacks for the kids (don’t forget the water!!) and check out the local Cape Cod Parades 4th of July 2017. Many towns hosting parades have activities that take place once the parade is finished (such as the Hyannis parade and the Falmouth parade). Some local organizations in town even host pancake breakfasts beforehand so your bellies are full and you are ready to celebrate America’s birthday when it is parade time (such as the Chatham parade and the Orleans parade). Don’t forget to line up your after dinner plans and find a fireworks display near you to complete your 4th of July celebration. Barnstable 4th of July Parade
Town: Barnstable
Time: 9 am
Location: Main Street
Parade Information: The Barnstable 4th of July parade has a little something for everyone! Floats of every size, motorcyclists, walkers and even dogs are a part of the celebration.
Bourne 4th of July Parade
Town: Bourne
Time: 10 am
Location: Main Street, Buzzards Bay
Parade Information: The community comes together to make the Bourne 4th of July parade possible through sponsorship, donations and volunteers.
Centerville 4th of July Parade
Town: Centerville
Time: 10 am
Location: Centerville Elementary School to 658 Bay Lane
Parade Information: The Centerville 4th of July parade is proudly sponsored by the Centerville Civic Association. Parade enthusiasts start setting up their parade chairs to secure their spot on route at 5pm the day before the parade, so if you want to get a good spot get there early!
Chatham 4th of July Parade
Town: Chatham
Time: 9:30 – 11:30 am
Location: Starts at Chatham Lighthouse down Main Street up Crowell Road to Tip Cart Road
Parade Information: This year’s theme for the parade is “Chatham for the Holidays.” Come on down and become a part of the tradition. The Chatham 4th of July parade brings in about 20,000 visitors every year to watch one of the oldest parades in the United States.
Cotuit 4th of July Parade
Town: Cotuit
Time: 11 am
Location: Cotuit Post Office
Parade Information: The parade begins at the Post Office, down School St to Main Street. Take a left onto Main St., to the back entrance of the Cotuit Elementary School where the parade finishes.
Falmouth 4th of July Bike Parade
Town: Falmouth
Time: 10 am
Location: Falmouth Village
Parade Information: Falmouth’s Bike and Carriage Parade starts at 10 am Main Street Falmouth. Participants will decorate their bicycles and dress festively in red, white and blue to celebrate the 4th of July holiday!
Hyannis 4th of July Parade
Town: Hyannis
Time: 4 pm
Location: Main Street
Parade Information: The Hyannis 4th of July Parade is one of Cape Cod’s biggest parades celebrating the country’s birthday. This is the 19th year that Hyannis has hosted the parade which kicks off the evening of fun in town. After the parade, there is a band concert in the bandstand on the green before the grand finale fireworks.
Hyannis Inner Harbor Boat Parade

Time: 2 pm
Location: Ocean Street at Hyannis Harbor
Parade Information: Watch the boats in the harbor showing off their patriotic spirit and love for our country in Hyannis’ boat parade! It is a fun way to start your day before the 4th of July parade on Main Street Hyannis.
Orleans 4th of July Parade
Town: Orleans
Time: 10 am – 12 pm
Location: Eldredge Park Way to Route 6A, down Main Street to Route 28 then back to Eldredge Park.
Parade Information: The Orleans 4th of July parade is a popular parade filled with a variety of different floats, musical acts and performers. The parade goes on rain or shine, so make sure you check the forecast so you bring a parka if the weather calls for it!
Osterville 4th of July Parade
Town: Osterville
Time: 11 am – 12 pm
Location: The parade will start on Washington Avenue to Webster Street to Sea View Ave to Warren Street, then it ends on Washington Street
Parade Information: The annual Osterville 4th of July parade is presented by the Wianno Club.
Provincetown 4th of July Parade
Town: Provincetown
Time: 11 am
Location: East End at the Harbor Hotel up Commercial to Franklin Street.
